Nirmal baradia group won Jaipur Jewelers Association election

Nirmal Baradia group won the election of Jaipur Jewelers Association.
Members of Jaipur Jewelers Association voted to chose their executive committee members. This was a bi-annual (2010-12) election.

Two major groups were contesting in this election of Jewelers Association, Jaipur.

One group was headed by Nirmal Baradiya. that won the election. They have bagged eight seats out of twelve. Pramod Agrawal (Derewala) group bagged rest of four seats. Other members of Nirmal Baradiya group who won in the election are Arun Gokhru, Rajesh Dhamani, Sanjay Kala, Dilip Godika, Pramod Lodha, Namrata Ghiya and Vijay Jaju.

Anil Bumb, Rajendra Sabu and AshokAshok Singhi are the other winners from Pramod Derewala group. There was a tie between Kamal Kothari and Ashok Singhi. Kamal Kothari withdrew in favor of Ashok Singhi.

Both the group heads Nirmal Baradiya and Pramod Derewala have won the election.

Import duty on gold and platinum raised in union budget 2010

 Pranab Mukherjee proposed Indian budget 2010 today. he has just finished his budget speech. Import duty on gold and platinum is raised to rs. 300 per ten gram from previous Rs. 200.

However, import duty on Rhodium (Used for polishing and coating) is reduced significantly to 2 percent from previous ten percent. This will have positive impact on Jewelry industry which largely use this metal.

 Jaipur Jewelry (Jewellery) Show, is one of the most important feature of Jaipur Gems and Jewelry dealers. Hundreds of stalls show their Gems and Jewelry items in the show. People from Jaipur and other parts of India exhibit here.
Large number of foreign and Indian buyers and sellers come to visit the show and find business opportunities in the JJS.
The seventh Jaipur Jewelry show will be organized at Rajmahal Palace hotel, J L Bajaj marg, Civil lines, Jaipur between December 19 and 22, 2009.
Vimal Chand Surana, convener of the show informed that Tanzenite is the theme of this show.
